My parents moved to the Peninsula in 1973 when my Dad joined what was to become one of the top Neurosurgery teams in Northern California at Kaiser in Redwood City.  I was the new kid in town, starting mid-year of my 8th grade at McKinley Jr. High, and was quickly befriended by a group of guys who grew up in this wild and wooly neighborhood called Emerald Hills.  It was a lot like the area I came from, rural San Diego County, and I loved the seclusion of the oak studded canyons.  Those same friends helped me get jobs working with local contractors building homes in the Emerald Hills and some great odd jobs with local residents building decks, staining siding and so much more.  We'd spend summers swimming at the lower lake, munching Canyon burgers (alongside Joe Montana or Dwight Clark) or doing some climbing on Hanley's Rock.  My first child was born in a home we rented across the street from the upper lake back in 1986.  Emerald Hills is a great place to live and always will be.

It's been an exciting ten years as a real estate professional and fifteen years as a sales executive in the magazine and online advertising world. Just this year I've sold over 25 homes in one of the worst economic climates since the depression.  Before real estate I negotiated multimillion dollar agreements with Oracle, Hitachi and 3Com .  I'd like to think I bring to the table a fresh attitude about win win negotiation and customer service. I am a certified "EcoBroker", having completed training that taught me the trends, materials and techniques in making homes healthier and more energy efficient.

Village Enterprise Fund...Eastern Africa remains a troubled part of the world with all sorts of challenges.  By donating to VEF (based right here in San Carlos!), I'm supporting dozens of entreprenuers in Kenya and Tanzania who use grants from VEF to start businesses that lift them from poverty and moves them towards healthier and better educated lives

Relay For Life...Cancer remains a serious health issue that touches everyone at one time or another. If you haven't been through it personally, you know a loved one or friend who has. The Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society's largest fund raising effort. I have served on my local event's management committee with my wife of 26 years and cancer survivor, Toni Sieling.
